SMS Disposable Lab Coat is not a grade of lab coat. It's a fabric structure - and it's the only nonwoven structure that gives you liquid barrier and particle filtration in the same garment while still letting the wearer breathe.
SMS is the build: Spunbond – Meltblown – Spunbond.
We build these from 30 to 60gsm, in S to 5XL with length graded to size, with knit or elastic cuffs, snap / zip / hook-and-loop closure, pockets or pocketless, serged or ultrasonic seams, non-sterile or sterilised. AAMI PB70 Level 1, 2 and 3 are all achievable in SMS - which level you get depends on gsm and finish.

Breathes while it blocks
High moisture-vapour transmission. Perspiration escapes, so the coat is wearable for a full shift.
Tapered knit collar, five-snap front
No gap between snaps, no gaping at the throat, one-pull emergency doffing. Zip front available where a continuous closure is required.
Anti-static as standard
No clinging to scrubs, no discharge near sensitive instruments. FR treatment available on request.
Latex-free, non-toxic, non-irritating
Polypropylene contains no natural rubber latex at any stage.

Q: Can SMS lab coats be autoclaved or washed?
A: Autoclaved, yes - polypropylene survives a 121 °C cycle intact, and autoclaving before disposal is a legitimate waste-treatment step. Washed and re-worn as a barrier garment, no.
Q: Are they latex-free and safe for sensitive skin?
A: Yes. 100% polypropylene with no natural rubber latex at any stage, non-toxic and non-irritating. Knit collar and cuffs are the usual comfort complaint point on cheaper coats; ours are knit rather than elastic specifically to avoid binding and chafing.
Q: Do SMS lab coats protect against chemicals?
A: Only aqueous splash and common cleaning agents. Polypropylene offers limited resistance to solvents, strong acids and aggressive organics.
Q: Can I get custom colours, sizes and logo printing?
A: Yes. Six stock colours with custom colours available at volume, real S–5XL grading with length graded to size, custom lengths, and logo printing or embroidery plus your own bag and carton artwork.
